One record, one reading, every output

Every page, the free check, the kit and the watch are rendered from one reviewed record. If a line on the site disagrees with the record, the record wins and the page is regenerated. The record carries a source pointer on every field.

The sources, in order of authority

  1. The official ISO record. Designation, stage, dates, page count, price and abstract. It is the only source for the record fields.
  2. ISO/IEC 27566-1:2025. The published framework, free from ISO. It supplies the terms, the indicators of confidence, the privacy and security objectives and the practice statement.
  3. The public working drafts. WG 5 N3927 for the framework text and N3928 for the analysis and benchmarking material. They are labelled as working drafts on every page.
  4. The DRCF and ICO measurement report. Independent research on measuring age assurance technologies, used for measurement practice and sampling.
  5. The BSI project timeline. One national body's dates for the same draft, labelled as such.

What we do not do

We do not state the DIS body, invent a clause number for it, treat a draft benchmark as a published requirement, or write a requirement from memory. Where the public record is silent, the field says so. Where a source is a working draft, the page says so. Where a figure could change before publication, the page says that too.

How the check works

The check is a rule over the record. It tests whether the task is a comparison, scores four evidence answers, places the decision date against the planning date and returns a verdict, three actions and the units to read. A blank or a past review date returns scope incomplete. The full rule is printed on the check page and is asserted by a regression table in the build.

Change

The record has a hash, the sitemap has a lastmod and every page carries the same date. The watch re-reads the sources, diffs them against the record and fails loudly on a change. The changelog records every change with its source and the page it affected.
